This lets us start five instances of a final mission of some asset and artificially raise the counter to five to satisfy a five-asset requirement to unlock the end-game ( asset double-counting ). This counter is incremented each time the last mission of an asset is completed. Vice City uses a counter to keep track of finished assets, rather than a flag for each finished asset. In short: A recently discovered glitch is exploited to run multiple instances of the same mission simultaneously ( mission chaining ). A savefile following the skip can be found for download at the bottom of the post. Note: I developed the skip process and performed this skip (outside of a speedrun) in the vanilla game (without cheats, trainers, external editors, etc., though as much should be clear).
